Mulgundawa Dorset Horn Flock was first founded in 1948, by Kevin Burzacott at Mulgundawa, South Australia. Later in partnership with Anne Burzacott the couple sold rams into the South Australian, Victorian mallee and South East. Laying down the foundations of today’s Poll Dorset stud first registered in 1964.

In collaboration with their daughter Mary Burzacott the Poll Dorset stud was gradually relocated to Richmond Park near Robe, South Australia. Purchased in 1985 due to an increasing demand for rams in the south east and more reliable rainfall.

Mary founded Richmond Park White Suffolk using Mulgundawa Poll Dorset ewes and an Allendale pure Suffolk sire, the Reserve Champion at the Royal Melbourne Show in 1989. Providing a sound base for today’s White Suffolk stud.

The first auction was held at Richmond Park in 1993, where it is still currently being held today. Together with her partner Michael Emery the two terminal sire studs are now based out of Richmond Park and Mount Benson near Robe.
